Business Model Innovation; Step 9
Business model innovation is one of our favourite things to do, talk about, and learn about. Sure, it’s great to develop or change products or services, and making an existing model work even better can be really satisfying. But…. if you want to disrupt your market, make a big splash and get everyone talking, and buying…. innovating your business model is where it is at.
Step 9. Engage your stakeholders.
If you have decided you are are going ahead you need to let people know. Plan how you consult with people carefully. What are you hoping to achieve? Are you asking people what they think? Or, are you making the change anyway and looking to inform them about it? Work out what is fixed in stone, if anything, and what is still up for grabs. It’s a really good idea to ask yourself how you will feel, or what you will do, if everyone absolutely agrees with you, or if everyone violently disagrees.
This blog is part of a series on business model innovation – check back for the next steps, and you can see all of our previous blogs on this site. And… if you are feeling inspired but want some extra support email us at tellmemore@rubystarassociates.co.uk to talk about how we can help.
