Suggested Reading List

We’ve been asked a lot recently which books we recommend, so we’ve listed a few of our ABSOLUTE favourites below. Let us know what you think!!

Obliquity – if you feel a bit compressed by traditional goal and milestone models for progressing your organisation, this book is the antidote- it might just give you the permission you’d like to go forth and innovate!

As you may know, we specialise in Ooomph, and this wonderful children’s book by Dr Seuss is right at the top of our must read list. If you feel in need of a bit of un-slumping this is the one for you – we buy and give out more copies of this book than any other to our friends and clients, and keep a very well-thumbed copy to hand in our office.

Oh The Place’s You’ll Go – Dr Seuss

Business Model Innovation is one of our favourite things to do – and this book (which you really need to see, feel and touch) is a bit of a handbook for us, and for thousands of other business model innovation practioners world wide.

If you are battling with the enemy within, and your barriers to getting out there to promote your message are internal, rather than purely skill based, you may enjoy this little novel. It’s a quick and easy ready, and might help you to tackle that internal voice.

And finally, if you wish everything was just a bit simpler this is the handbook for you:

We Love, Love, Love books, so this is just a tiny selection of the books we recommend on a daily basis. But, we’d defy you to read your way through this list and not feel inspired, challenged and raring to go! Go on, what are you waiting for, dig out that library card!

(And, if you love a book which we haven’t listed, why not pop over to our free online bookclub at www.businessbookworms.co.uk and nominate it).
