Non-exec roles – Paid or Unpaid

Most board positions will cover reasonable expenses, some also offer a salary, payment, day rate or stipend. The rates of pay for paid board roles can vary massively, and those which are better paid tend to be very competitive. The decision on whether to apply for a paid or unpaid role is a personal one and may be dictated by personal circumstances.
