Apex Computing

Apex Computing is a computer services company, servicing a wide range of businesses and schools. It has grown rapidly since it was established in 2002, building a great team and an impressive rosta of clients.

Much of the growth at Apex has resulted from an on-going culture of investing in the team and their development. With so much growth over the preceding years, Apex wanted to take some time to review the needs of the organisation and the team over the next few years in order to ensure continued growth.

We worked with the business to:

Review the business model for growth and identify potential “pain” points as the business grows

Prioritise time for strategic growth and planning

Review required roles for growth

Develop new approaches for problem solving and action learning

It has been a real pleasure to work with the team at Apex. It’s rare to work with a team this size who are all so fully committed and knowledgeable about the strength and vision of the business. The team developed and implemented some great ideas. The business has a strong track record of identifying new opportunities and implementing change, and this really showed – they recognised the value of taking time out to regroup and refocus for growth, made very rapid progress, and were a real pleasure to work with.

Founder Daniel said: “The investment that the Business Growth Hub has placed in Apex Computing through Ruby Star Associates has been a spring board for growth. We have since taken on two more employees as a direct result of the systems and processes Ruby Star have helped us to put in place, her experience in industry enabled her to advise us effectively and has been a great benefit. It has given our organisation the confidence to move forward and grow our team.

As a director of Apex Computing I can say that the input from Ruby Star Associates has not only allowed us to move forward with the growth of our team and customer base, but has enabled our staff to work in more dynamic ways and has given them much more confidence in their approach to tasks and working together.
