If you’ve decided to start looking for an opportunity to serve on a board it can be daunting to know where to start. Here are some suggestions on things to do/consider:
It’s rare that you’ll see an opportunity advertised without an offer of a conversation with someone in the organisation or a representative of the recruitment agency. In my experience, you should always take an organisation up on this offer before filling in an application form. It should give you a better idea of what they are looking for and whether you are likely to be a good fit.
