This month we’ve had a chance to talk to a lot of entrepreneurs about their businesses, and based on those discussions we’ve come up with a list of words that businesses could consider using more often. This week we are looking at the word: Sorry
“Sorry”
In a world where people feel they may be sued at any moment, we seem to have become wary of admitting we are wrong. However, sometimes you will be, and when you are there is a lot to be said for admitting it, apologising and doing what you can to put it right.
A word of warning though…. the one thing worse than not saying Sorry, is using it in a weasel apology. “I’m sorry that you were upset” is NOT an apology!
What do you think? Is this a word you use often enough? Is it something you like to hear from the companies you work with?
Next week we’re looking at: “We don’t do that”
